Istana Kenangan is a historic royal residence in Kuala Kangsar, originally built as a temporary home for Sultan Iskandar Shah.

What makes this palace remarkable is its traditional construction: no nails were used, relying instead on interlocking wooden beams and pisang sesikat (banana stems) for structural support.

Its vibrant yellow exterior, complemented by black and white accents, reflects the pride and heritage of Perak.
