The Prof’s Cottage
(Tiny Home)
The Prof’s Cottage is a thoughtfully designed tiny home set against the dramatic backdrop of Gunung Raya.
Positioned to frame, rather than block, the mountain view, the cottage embraces its surroundings with a light architectural touch that prioritises openness, landscape, and sky.
The roof is inspired by the form of a butterfly, gently lifting and opening outward to preserve uninterrupted views of Gunung Raya while allowing light and air to move freely through the home.
This floating roof gesture creates a sense of lightness, ensuring the building sits quietly within the landscape rather than dominating it.
Inside, the cottage blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors. An open-to-sky toilet invites natural light, rain, and fresh air into a deeply personal daily ritual, while the glass house elements dissolve visual barriers, allowing the forest and mountain to remain ever-present.
Compact yet generous in experience, The Prof’s Cottage offers a slow, contemplative way of living—where nature, architecture, and everyday life exist in quiet balance.
