Designed as a place of learning and discovery, the centre offers insights into the diverse natural life of the rainforest and the marine environment of Datai Bay.
Within this space, resort guests are invited to deepen their appreciation of the tropical landscape—learning about native plants, wildlife, and the delicate marine ecosystems that thrive in the waters of Datai Bay.
Through guided programmes and immersive experiences, the Nature Center connects people with the natural rhythms of the forest and the sea, encouraging awareness, respect, and conservation.
The building is thoughtfully designed by Widhi Nugroho of Studio WNA, with architecture that responds sensitively to its environment.
Bamboo plays a central role in the structure, chosen for its sustainability, strength, and natural beauty.
The bamboo construction was carried out by Rumpun (previously known as Bamboo Jungle Adventures), whose craftsmanship brings traditional knowledge and contemporary design together.
Blending seamlessly into its surroundings, The Nature Center stands as both an educational hub and a reflection of The Datai Resort’s commitment to sustainability—where architecture becomes a quiet extension of the rainforest and the bay beyond.
